DBE curriculum centers on virtues in place of goals that drive the intent instead of the purpose. Lessons are conducted over a broad set of tasks or quests. The DBE quest system is a patent pending system that addresses strengths by allowing students who love certain subjects to enjoy them cross curricularly and in all types of settings. It also allows for weak areas or distasteful exercises to be introduced in a defused and more palatable way.

How DBE Works - DBE is designed to provide a thorough, challenging education to students between the ages of 12 and 18 (grades 6 through 12 in traditional education).  Students progress through the virtues which provide the framework for their educational experience.

Curriculum Map - DBE is an integrated curriculum providing all of the basic subjects (Bible, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies) as well as the opportunity to study additional subjects such as is appropriate.

Framework - DBE utilizes seven virtues as its framework.  These virtues (Scholarship, Relationship, Worship, Citizenship, Championship, Stewardship, and Ownership) create direction for each of the seven years of a complete DBE education.

Content Standards - DBE curriculum is designed to ensure that each child receives a quality, well rounded Christian education that prepares them for their destiny in Christ.

Goals - DBE has established seven virtues in place of goals.  These virtues provide the Framework of a DBE education.

General standards - DBE is a Christian based curriculum. DBE curriculum, meets or exceeds all United States national and state standards.

Rational - Why is DBE so different from traditional education?  Because the traditional system does not work. Politicians and educators have been trying to repair education for decades with little success.  DBE is designed to provide a quality, Christian education to all students.

Purpose of education

Key elements - DBE utilizes two unique integrated features in its curriculum: Learning Levels and Virtues.  The seven (7) Virtues provide the framework of the students education. The six (6) Learning Levels provide the structure within the framework.  Each student is given the time to practice each concept until they have mastery.  Practice of concepts is designed to avoid frustration, but to continue until they have understanding.

Grades & Grades age divisions and ability levels - DBE does not utilize traditional grade levels. Instead a database of graduation requirements is maintained.  DBE does not assign traditional grades such as A, B, C, D, & F. Instead, students proficiency is recorded for each concept.  Students are required to gain a mastery of all basic concepts.
