     Since 1999 Garden Schools has offered students options that until recently have not been available. Many distance learning programs have a recognizable name and standardized curriculum that has been adapted for internet use. My interest and education in sociology steered me to a very different way to address my own needs as a homeschooling parent. Ultimately, God led me to address the needs of others with the solutions I had developed for my family.

     Does your family need Garden Schools? Is distance learning right for you? It became clear to us that while we could strive to give families variety, support and expertise in every avenue that we could not, should not and would not, try to be everything for everyone. Unfortunately, we learned from experience, that we would be doing a grave disservice to everyone involved if we threw open our doors and marketed our services to everyone. Distance learning is not right for all students. Alternative education is a broad arena that Garden Schools is a part of. We have developed other services to support those who found distance learning not quite what they needed and narrowed Garden Schools enrollment to those who will excel in the distance learning environment.  

     Homeschoolers can also choose to purchase quality curriculum that is designed with the GS learning levels system of Destiny Based Education that closes learning gaps and provides tireless computer based practice labs that record scores and create records automatically. For further details read our Mission Statement, Philosophy and Curriculum pages.
